Random Information

Just some random stuff to brighten up your Thursday!

Each year, Beloit College in Wisconsin releases a list illuminating the wordview of the 18-year-old freshman class, many of whom were born in 1988. Below are items on the list from 2006:

The Soviet Union has never existed and therefore is about as scary as the student union.

They have known only two presidents.

There has always been only one Germany.

They have never heard anyone actually "ring it up" on a cash register.

Bar codes have always been on everything, from library cards and snail mail to retail items.

Reality shows have always been on television.

They have rarely mailed anything using a stamp.

Bad behavior has always been getting captured on amateur videos.

Disneyland has always been in Europe and Asia.

Television stations have never concluded the broadcast day with the national anthem.

Celebrity Sighting!!

We had a celebrity sighting yesterday at the mall. Kurt Russell was doing some shopping! We saw him as he walked by the front of the store and he looks the same in person as he does in the movies!! He is in Austin filming for the movie Grind House (a Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez movie). I had my camera with me, but I didn't take a picture. It would have been so obvious that I was taking a picture because there weren't many people in the mall.

Holy Cha-Cha's

I think Aretha needs more support than just those two straps!!!

Photoshop much????

Katie Couric's promo pictures for her new job at CBS have been altered through photoshop! I wish I was this good at photoshop and could just shed 20 pounds off people!!!
