More Bowling Pictures

While the kids were eating their pizza and cake, I took a few minutes to play around with my camera and the bowling lanes and balls. Here were a couple of pictures that I liked the best...

Screaming, Presents, Pizza, and Cake.....

....must be a nephew's birthday party!!

We went to our nephews birthday party on the 21st at a bowling alley on the UT campus. I had no idea they had a bowling alley that was open to the public. There were about 15 or so kids that were at the party and the kid to adult ratio was about 2 to 1. While they kids bowled, Jim and I found an air hockey table and played three games. Jim started off strong, but then I kicked his ass the next two games!!!!!!!!!! I ended up beating him 2-1 :) I love winning!

The kids seemed to have a really good time bowling, then eating pizza and cake, then of course opening presents. We had a good time watching all of the festivities!

Here are some pictures from that night:

We had a short in our circuit at home, which blew our router, so I don't have internet access. Jim still does so I can use his computer. But I can't download new pictures until we get a new router, and I'm not going to Best Buy until after Christmas :) Here are some older pictures of Chewie, Taylor and a squirrel they chase. :)

Healthy for most, evil to me

I thought I would try to expand what we ate, so I incorporated an acorn squash to our meal. I found a recipe which looked really good and was easy to make so I made it. It was okay, nothing special and kind of bland unless you totally covered it in the marinade. I don't have the recipe with me now, but I'll post it later in case any of you would like to try it. Well, about 30 minutes after dinner, my stomach informed me that it was very unhappy with my vegetable selection. :0 I'll just leave it at that and let you use your imagination to figure out what I am talking about.

Here are some pictures of the evil side dish...

Pretty and Shiny

Jim had to work so hard at changing out our spare bathroom faucet. Appartanly, if you leave pipes for over 30 years, they get all gross and stuck together :) I thought I would post a couple of pictures of our new upgrade!

Foggy Morning

On Friday I woke up to a foggy Austin. I love taking pictures in fog. Fog usually makes an area look completely different. Before work I stopped by Town Lake to take pictures and take advantage of the fog! :)

Pics Around Town

I did something on Thursday night that I have been wanting to do for quite some time, I took pictures of downtown Austin at night. I like the way they came out, and I plan on going back down to test out some different angles and camera settings. Blogger has been a total shit to me when I add pictures to a post, so I'm crossing my fingers that it goes through okay!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I not sure if I should be pissed at Blogger (this site) or at the website that I use to store my pictures on. Every time I try to add picture to my blog, I get a ton of errors. I tried Flickr (see the post below) but I can't figure out how to add more than one picture at a time. Shit. I guess I'll keep trying!

New Shoes

I bought a pair of new shoes the other day (a late birthday present to myself) and I am so happy that I bought them. I was debating while in the store whether I wanted/needed them. Well, I was able to quickly determine that I didn't need them, but I knew if I didn't buy them I would want them. I am SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy that I bought them becuase I love wearing them. They are a little different than I normal wear, and I think that is why I like them :)

This weekend was relatively low key. We went out to dinner and a movie on Friday night. We saw Casino Royal, and I have to say it was pretty good. Not only was the new Bond pretty darn hot, I enjoyed the plot/story line.

On Saturday I met up with Kelli and George to take their engagement photos around Austin. We made a couple of stops at Hotel San Jose (where they got engaged), the capital, a park near Town Lake, and on the campus of St. Edwards. All were beautiful sites! I haven't been to Hotel San Jose before, but once you walk through the doors it feels as if you are in a different city. It is very serene with great plants and trees all around you!

Jim was working on the bathroom while I was out with Kelli and George. He thought he was going to have a quick project changing out the faucet in the spare bathroom, but it took him over 4 hours to work on it. The faucets that were on there were probably installed over 30 years ago. The pipes leading to the faucet were all rusted over so he had a terrible time trying to get them off. Poor guy, I was out having fun and he was stuck under the sink in a small bathroom. I took a picture before I left....
