Ugly is the new black

Last night was our first ugly Christmas sweater party, and we had a grand ol' time! I searched through a couple of Goodwill's and a thrift store to find our ensembles. I actually found a really ugly sweater on e-bay for Jim, but it is still in transit to the house. He will have to use it next year. My sweater was a tad bit large, but it worked. Jim's outfit was perfected by the Santa pimp hat that my mom bought for him. It was pure luck that she found it and bought it for him, because she didn't know about the ugly Christmas party.

We took a little trip in Sarah's car looking for ping pong balls during the party. So I thought I would enjoy the child car seat on the trip. It was a little snug, but I got there safe and sound :)

4th of July Fun!!

We spent a very fun 4th of July on Lake Travis in the Devil's Cove. You guys have seen plenty of pictures of Devil's Cove because we tend to go there every holiday weekend. Mostly because this is the place to go to hang out and people watch. This time we moved off of the beaten boat path and tied up to the 3 boats that we knew. This kept jackasses off of our boat (since you walk on other boats when you want to move to other boats) and we were able to just hang out.

Tiffany enjoying some Malibu Rum... Yeah, I have passed this part of my life. There will be no more drinking directly from the bottle. Actually, now that I have given it some thought I can't remember when I have drank from the bottle. I'm sure I have at some point, but it doesn't happen a lot.

Jim and Lindsey started a nice game of douse each other with beer. I think Jim started this little game, but Lindsey jumped right in and didn't take any crap from Jim. Way to go girl!

New Years Eve Festivities

Before we headed to the bar we went out to dinner. We went to Zax Pints and Plates, which was a really good idea. Jim and I both ordered the steak tenderloin skewers, and they were excellent. The steak was basted with a green peppercorn sauce, which really made the steak tasty! Everybody else enjoyed their entrees as well. However, the first round of drinks (besides mine and Jim's) were made pretty bad so the night didn't start off great but the food made up for it. After dinner we went to Lucky Lounge to party with friends. The twins, Mike and Charlie, rented out the top of the bar so we could all have a place to sit and drink. We had a great night and everybody made it home safe, so it was a great night!! :)

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

We had a really nice Christmas Eve and day. We had my dad over for dinner and opening gifts on Christmas Eve. We did the typical turkey dinner with stuffing, green bean casserole, twice baked potatoes, rolls and cranberry jell stuff. I thought the turkey was a little dry, but over all it turned out really good! My dad bought Taylor and Chewie some squeaky stuffed animal toys for their presents. Taylor really loves her toy and played with it for most of the night. Chewie on the other hand is afraid of the toy. Every time Taylor starts to play with it, our big dog goes running and won't come back until we promise him that we put the toy away. We'll see if he warms up to the toy! :)

We went over to Jim's parents house on Christmas day. We enjoyed opening gifts, dinner and good company while we were over there. Of course there is so much build up to Christmas that the actual day seems to fly right on by!!
