If I had been thinking I would have put together an Italian dinner for Sunday night. Why you ask? Well, to give The Soprano's a proper send off. Watching the mob on TV and eating some delish cheesy pasta! Sunday was the series last episode. The episode was a bit of a let down. There were some great parts of the show, but the ending almost killed me. I urged Jim to try the other HBO channel to see if we having an issue with Dish. But nooooooo, the Soprano's merely cut the show to a black screen while they were eating dinner. No fighting, no cussing, no killing, no dodging bullets. Damn. Damn. Damn. I have heard that they taped a couple of different versions of the ending, and I really hope they release the alternate endings. I will miss the BadaBing, the severly fucked up young Anthony, Mr. Silver streaks Paulie, and the sheer amount of greasy pork products that were consumed during the series. I need to find another show to entertain me with all of the Jersey love out there!! :)
We spent 3 hours on Sunday demo'ing our kitchen. We are soooo close to taking down all of the wood. We have about a half of a wall to take down then we are done!! We even took down the soffit (the part of the wall above the sink that didn't do anything). I am soooo excited, but I know that we have a long way to go! :)
here are a couple of pictures. I have more (of course) but I need to download them!

I found a recipe on the internet that I couldn't wait to try. Jim and I have figured out that we LOVE cream cheese jalapeno poppers. But they aren't the best for a gal trying to lose her badonka-donk butt, so when I saw a baked version I had to try! I know some people out there aren't fans of jalapenos but these aren't that hot (unless you get an insanely hot pepper, that will be hot no matter what you do to it.). This is very easy and makes for a different side dish!

6 medium fresh jalapeño peppers
1/2 package (4 ounces) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese (I used a colby cheese mix)
1 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
sprinkle of garlic powder
2 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise; remove seeds and membranes. In a large saucepan, boil peppers in water for 5-10 minutes (the longer you boil the peppers, the milder they become.) Drain and rinse in cold water; set aside. In a small mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. Spoon 2 teaspoonfuls in to each jalapeño half; sprinkle with bacon. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve warm.

I haven't had as much free time as I would like, so I had to put my blog on the back burner! I started a new class, got a promotion, and shot a wedding! All in one week :) So my free time has been spent working on the wedding pictures and working on homework (ick).
The wedding was absolutely beautiful! The weather cooperated (it looked like rain earlier in the day) and we had a great night! I have to say, the wedding kicked my ass. It was pretty hot (low 90's) and I was running around taking lots (over 1000) pictures. After I sat, ate some food, and had a water, I was ready to go for more pictures! I'll post a couple of pictures in a little bit. It is going to take me at least a couple more days to get them all pretty :)
